Google Apps for Government Data is Secure - FISMA Compliance

Google Apps for Government has been FISMA compliant since 2010 and many U.S. government customers are already using them. A few examples include the U.S. Department of Energy's Berkely Lab, City of Los Angeles, CA, and City of Wooster, OH.

The Federal Information Security Management Act ("FISMA") applies to information systems that are used by U.S. federal government agencies and it helps ensure that these systems are secure. The General Services Administration reviewed Google's documented security controls and issued the FISMA certification and accreditation. This allows government customers at all levels to have confidence in moving the Google Apps for Government.
